Whoooo hooo! One more semester under the old vet school belt. Only 2 semesters of class left, then on to clinics. Tonight Ian and I are going to a classmate of mines "Christmas Party." We will be celebrating finishing finals and the holiday season. I'm pretty excited!

Then, tomorrow, Ian and I are going diesel truck shopping - we are going to be purchasing a truck and horse trailer to service our own horses and will be for hire for those who need their horses moved to shows, boarding facilities, clinics and to the MSU teaching hospital. We will be officially kicking off "Duncan Equine Transporation" in 2007! Hopefully it will bring us a bit of money, but mostly it's an excuse to get a nice truck and trailer for our horses! We plan to "locally" move horses at reasonable rates and then as long as my horse recovers (hopefully soon) I will be showing him this summer. So much has happened since my last blogs!

My baby (Ari - 5 year old boxer) has lymphoma - he has started yet another chemo, but continues to do well! I will continue treating him as long as he feels well! Pito, my thoroughbred was moved to a boarding facility in Novemeber. He was previously at my in-laws place in Howell, but I moved him so that I could ride him over the winter. My in-laws don't have an indoor arena so it is difficult to ride during the winter months. So this year I decided to move him to a boarding facility 10 miles from my house that has an indoor arena - so I can ride him over the winter. However, 1 week after I moved him, he started dragging his hind legs. I took him to MSU and we discovered he has a sacro-iliac ligament injury. He needs to be giving anti-inflammatories and hand-walked twice a day for 60 days. We are now 30-some days into the recovery and he will go back mid-January for a re-check. Hopefully he will be recovered and I can start riding and jumping him again!!

Come Jan. 3 Ian and I (plus our good friends Kyrstin and Nick) are going to England for a week! I can't wait! I'll be sure to tell you all about it and post pictures!

Okay, time to go, the pets are hungry and I have to get ready for a celebration! Yay!

I am sorry about to hear about your boxer. At least he has a good quality of life that you can treat him. We had a scare with my dog, Nikki, and some oral tumors, but it turned out to be gingivitis. LOL. I hope Ari has a speedy recovery.

Hopefully your horse feels better too. Sounds like they are living it up with a lot of pampering. :)

My sister went to England a few times. She loved Cambridge. You are going to have a blast. I would love to see pictures! Don't forget your American to English dictionary! (hehe. Just a little joke!)

Hi, Jill.

I just wanted to let you know I have been thinking of your mom (I use to read her blog) and was wondering how you were doing? I hope vet school is going well.

I'm not sure if you get comments sent to your email, but I thought I would just drop you a note. I hope things are going well for you.
